The UPD Sigma Beta Sorority proudly inducted Batch Diwang Laya in a solemn and meaningful ceremony held at UP SOLAIR last Aug. 23, 2025. The event marked another milestone in the sorority’s enduring legacy of leadership, service, and sisterhood.
The ceremony was made possible through the strong support of the UPSBS Alumnae Association International, who continue to stand as pillars of guidance and inspiration for resident sisters. Heartfelt gratitude was also extended to the sisters on the ground for their tireless efforts in ensuring the smooth flow of logistics and program coordination.
In her remarks, Alumnae Sister Mae Bumanlag Del Rosario emphasized the importance of continuity across generations, praising the newly inducted sisters for carrying the torch of Sigma Beta values.
Special recognition was also given to the sorority’s beloved elders – Sisters Mai Barua-Yap, Fe Franco, Jane Martinez, and Baby Soliman – for always showing love and support to every sorority activity. Their steadfast presence continues to strengthen the bond of sisterhood across generations.
The induction of Batch Diwang Laya signifies not just the beginiing of a new journey for the resident sisters, but also the reaffirmation of the sorority’s collective commitment to unity, service, and empowerment.
