The U.P. Sigma Beta Sorority marked its 94th Founding Anniversary with a weeklong celebration of legacy, leadership, and enduring sisterhood, culminating in the Induction and Golden Book Signing at Disco Glamour @94, held at Club Filipino on 21 February 2026.
The sorority launched its anniversary festivities with Petals of Joy: One Rose at a Time on 13 February—a heartfelt initiative where resident sisters and alumnae united to spread warmth and kindness across the UP community. With each long-stemmed rose handed to students, faculty, and staff, sisters shared not only flowers, but also gratitude, encouragement, and the quiet strength that has defined Sigma Beta for 94 years.
On 12 and 13 February, the sorority also revived the much-anticipated Return of UNLI-kot rides, filling the campus with lavender vibes and a libre spirit of service. More than just transportation, the initiative became a moving symbol of sisterhood in action—legendary journeys made lighter through shared laughter and the unmistakable presence of Sigma Beta women serving with heart.
The celebration reached dazzling heights at Disco Glamour @94, where generations of sisters gathered in style to honor the past while embracing the future. The evening featured the Induction of Batch 2026-I Primera de Faura and the Golden Book Signing of new resident sisters from Diwang Laya and Primera de Faura— long-standing traditions that affirm commitment to the sorority’s ideals. The night sparkled with exciting games, raffle prizes for lucky sisters, and a vibrant dance floor that pulsed with joy, laughter, and the unmistakable rhythm of sisterhood that transcends time.
This anniversary also marked a deeply meaningful milestone: the reconnection of U.P. Sigma Beta Sorority with the UP Manila campus through the revival of UP Manila residency within the sisterhood. It was more than a return—it was a renewal of purpose, presence, and promise.
Across the ocean, the celebration echoed in the United States as alumnae from California gathered for a simultaneous anniversary celebration. On 13 February, sisters shared stories and sisterly warmth over an Italian dinner at Nonna+Zucchero. On 14 February, Sis Pia and her husband Art graciously opened their home in Cardiff-by-the-Sea for a heartfelt anniversary luncheon filled with fellowship and gratitude. The festivities concluded on 15 February with a tour and shopping visit at the Naval Base San Diego—a joyful reminder that no distance can diminish the bond forged by shared history and sisterly love.
As Sis Dr. Tess De Guzman, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, UP Manila, and President of the U.P. Sigma Beta Sorority Alumnae Association, Inc., so powerfully affirmed: “Ninety-four years of strong, meaningful, and enduring sisterhood. Kayo ang pundasyon ng ating legacy.”
Indeed, for 94 years, U.P. Sigma Beta Sorority has stood as a testament to women united in purpose—grounded in tradition, strengthened by service, and inspired by one another. As sisters across generations gathered in gratitude, pride, and love—both in the Philippines and abroad—the celebration became not merely a commemoration of years past, but a bold affirmation that our pamana continues—stronger, more meaningful, and more enduring than ever.
